MICK JAGGER START ME UP TRIBUTE SHOW

POSTPONED – DATE TO BE ADVISED

MEDIA RELEASE -

Who’s Behind the Green Door presents Mick Jagger Start Me Up Tribute Show, the ultimate outdoor dinner and tribute show at the Swan Valley Oasis Resort, situated in the heart of the valley’s superb wineries, breweries and delicacies, in picturesque Henley Brook.

The Mick Jagger Start Me Up Tribute Show will be held under a giant marquee with a sumptuous 3 course set menu in Las Vegas style and will perform for one show only.

Jonny Mann dons the red leather pants and his studded slacks performing the young and gallivant playboy Mick Jagger in his early heyday of the 60s and 70s, the flower power era. Bringing to the stage many songs made famous by Jagger and The Rolling Stones, who have been at the core of many a music lover’s being and whom undoubtedly inspired this Perth born singer songwriter to take to the stage as Jagger.

During the era this tribute show centres around, Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones were running amok, in and out of court and were known as the bad boys of rock n roll. Parents were terrified of their daughters going goo ga over these mischief makers. In 1964 The Rolling Stones were named England’s most popular group, outranking even the Beatles.

If you remember the 60s – you weren’t there. So with our own Jagger bad boy, patrons can relive it again when Mann performs Stones classics from the hip and happening Carnaby Street era such as Let’s Spend The Night Together, Little Red Rooster, Get Off My Cloud, Walking the Dog, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, She’s a Rainbow and more. Mann brings to life an extensive array of classic hits from these naughty yet exceptionally talented musicians who have entertained the world over for four decades and continue to enjoy today.

Sam Pulvirenti, Director of Who’s Behind the Green Door says “I’ve scraped under boulders and stones to find our own rascal of rock, I’m proud to say we’ve found our bad boy Mick, now that’s Satisfaction.”

After spending three years in London working on large scale concerts, Mann returned to the Perth hills to rediscover all that he musically aspires to. Mann says “It’s great fun emulating Mick on stage and it seems to come naturally, there’s always a feeling of being ‘on the edge’ …mmm… that must say something about me.”
